The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is a regulation by the European Union (EU) designed to ensure that imported goods pay the same carbon cost as products made in the EU. This helps reduce global carbon emissions and keeps EU companies competitive.

Some products - such as steel, cement, fertilizers, aluminum and electricity - generate high carbon emissions during their production. If companies move the production to countries with weaker climate laws, global emissions could go up. CBAM puts a carbon price on imported goods, encouraging cleaner production methods worldwide. 

CBAM goods include: aluminum, cement, electricity, fertilizer, hydrogen, iron and steel. 

Your customer is obligated to report quarterly and is therefore requesting information from you.

You were invited to complete an assessment.

To comply with CBAM, your customer must report the carbon emissions and production method of the affected products - your input is essential.
